Lamine Sonko has a new project which he is presenting at Melbourne Recital Centre on April 3rd.
The show is called 13:12 and is a musical exploration of how West African culture interacts with celestial bodies, unveiling ancient connections between art and science. Lamine has composed new work that crosses the genres of traditional African/classical and jazz. Musically it will include kora, piano, cello, guitar so it's quite different to what you would probably know from his band The African Intelligence.
Lamine and musicians will be our guest in the Global Village to talk about the project and play some music live to air.
